One Missed Call

This could've been a really good movie. Getting a phone call from yourself and hearing your own last words left in voicemail, a deadly curse that spreads through the contacts stored in a cellphone's memory, death being made into a cheap televised spectacle, a ghost that can only be seen through a video camera—these are all great concepts, but the latter part of the movie doesn't deliver on these themes. Hell, the ghost turns out to be a kid who didn't even own a cellphone (though there's probably something to be said about how she was being recorded in her own house as she died)—it just feels completely divorced from what the first part seemed to be building up to.
As far as horror movies go, it's a pretty fun watch and there's some cool scenes here and there, but it kinda left me disappointed.
