I really wanted to try some of the cute oshikatsu crafts that popped up on my Pinterest feed, but as I lacked an oshi, I decided to borrow Utage’s...
...or maybe I was possessed by her.
I made these on separate days, and had the songs from the anime playing from my trusty bluetooth speaker to properly channel the spirit of a certain fangirl. I think I ended up becoming a proper fan of the series (and Tamon-kun himself) in the process. Hell, I'm even reading the manga now (though it's a slow process, since I'm doing it in Japanese). Fake it till you make it, as they say(?)
For the heart-shaped items, I followed tutorials by this user. I made the fan a bit differently from hers, though. I have no process pictures, but I made the handle and a sort of internal skeleton out of coffee stirrers glued together since the EVA foam I had was a bit flimsy. It's now ready to be waved around…somewhere. F/ACE please come to brazil
I also made the “toploader” myself out of plastic from a box that my Buzz Lightyear came in. I just used duct tape to make an envelope, basically. This art that i printed actually has two other parts, with Jime- and Yamihara completing a heart with their fingers. I kind of want to make the full set, but I'm not sure what I'd do with it once it was completed, lol.
The back looks ugly, as you can see. I might glue a piece of pink felt there later on. There's a hole on the top to make it into a keychain for when I want to attach it to my bag.
This one barely counts as a craft project, but hey. This keychain was a promotional handout from my old school, and since it was just gathering dust in a drawer for years, I figured no one would miss it if I took out the ad inside and changed it for a picture of an anime character. Some people deco the picture and add beads and stuff to the chain, but I do not count myself among their numbers. I'm displaying it on my desk lamp so you can see the B-Side/Jimehara reflected on the mirror right behind it.
As you can (maybe) see in the first picture, I still have some more projects waiting for me, but it'll probably be a while until I get to them (which is to say, I'm having a hard time picking ribbons to go with the characters’ colors—)
Either way, I'm super proud of how these turned out, especially the uchiwa fan ♡ Now I'm in the market for a Tamon plushie to surround with all this stuff and have the prettiest table in the world...
