Long time no blog! It’s been a crazy year. I've been hard at work(citation needed) on a revamp of this website, so most things got pushed to “after I remake this page…” I'm slow, okay?
Anyway, about a year ago(give or take a few weeks) I finally gave in and got a fountain pen. It's a Pilot Kakuno. Isn't the color so pretty?

At the start I was scared that I’d end up breaking it, wouldn’t know how to wash it, how to refill it—it seems silly to look back on it now, as it turns out everything was way easier than I expected!
It was a real upgrade from my previous setup(black bic crystal pen I found on the ground). No matter how much I write with it, my hands don’t hurt. I made an effort to learn some proper cursive (instead of the mix of cursive and print that I had been using for years), and I’ve been going through journals like crazy ( I’m also currently on my second commonplace book!). All of this means that I ended up becoming more of an offline person (and neglected this website as a result. Oopsie).
I often say it was the best purchase of my life, and I mean it.
